1. I am SO excited to meet up with blueboarders tonight and tomorrow night! I’ll post pictures/stories as soon as I can. Probably not until Sunday because I think tomorrow will be a little busy for me.
2. Progress is going well on my revision. I had less time on the computer this week because I visited my parents, and they kept occupying my time. But I’m at the 50 page mark, though I’m going to try to get two more chapters revised before I send the entire partial to my agent. It’s going well. I’ve had a few critique partners look over everything, and so far I’m getting an excellent response and awesome revision suggestions that are minor in the scheme of things. Everyone likes it! Yay!
3. Reading this week: I’m almost done with ENVY by Anna Godbersen. These books are just so juicy, and the prose is as lush as the dresses on the cover. I’m enjoying this one a lot. I still haven’t finished Inexcusable, but I’ll get to it shortly. I have A.S. King’s DUST OF 100 DOGS waiting for me next. I know AS King through backspace and the conferences, she’s so fun to hang out with and a killer writer, so I can’t wait to dig into her debut.
5. Looks like I’m on hold late next week for a freelance job. Yay for work in this crappy economy. Plus this is at a company I really enjoy working for. They have cool projects, the employees are nice, and they treat me well (i.e. they don’t make me work 16 hours a day). I’m also going to be better about blogging next week. I have my 2nd revision tips post I want to put up, plus a post about cutting words for overwriters, as well as a book review.
