The Silver Lining | Contest winners!

Okay, I’m a little nervous to post this because I think I sound like a babbling idiot and my brilliant idea to shoot it outside didn’t account for wind or the fact that I wouldn’t be able to see the screen so I kept squinting at it. I’ll get better at this vlog thing, I guess.

CONGRATS TO THE WINNERS! I pulled names out of a hat…er…ghetto plastic bag. If you watch the video, you’ll see that I wanted to give books to as many people as I could (i.e. three people) and so when I pulled the same name for second and first place, I’m afraid I can only give that person 1st place so more people could win. I hope you don’t mind! Without further ado…here are the winners.

Winners, email me at shanasilver at gmail dot com by Sunday with your choices of books and your snail mail address. If I don’t hear from you by Sunday (though I’ll try to contact you too), then I’ll have to pick a new winner since I need to get these books out of my apartment as they are currently sitting in piles and preventing me from washing the floor (though is that really so bad? lol).

Yathenium wins choice of EIGHT books listed below
Ravelda wins choice of SIX of the remaining books

    • Oh right! I totally forgot about the pronunciation thing. Yay that you were pronouncing it correctly. See…I say it like in Sha-na-na-na Hey-Hey-Hey Goodbye.

This video blog took me TWO HOURS to do. I did a lot of practice rounds (not picking names, just talking) and it took a while to train myself not to make funny faces while I spoke and to look directly into the camera. Also, I had to write a script for myself and memorize it otherwise I completely blanked on what to say. It didn’t help all that much, I still got a little stage fright-y.

  1. Thanks so much!!!!

And I don’t mind at all about giving each place to different winners, it’s fair this way. The two other people deserve them and I’m more than happy with 8 books. 🙂

Thanks again! Congrats to the other two winners!

    I’ll e-mail tomorrow once I pick out which books I’d like…

  2. Yay! I won something. That never happens. Thank you so much.

It was fun to see you moving and talking. (And, you do not sound like a babbling idiot.)
